Very well done for a self-published book. I have not yet worked on any of the projects but this seems to be a very good introduction to walking foot quilting by a master free motion teacher. It augments rather than duplicates the two classes on Craftsy by Jacque Gerig (I have not read her book yet.)Day's book includes projects that she will use for on-line classes starting next year but they look they could be produced with her directions alone. Of course the classes will encourage, enlighten, and entertain. Photographs are good.
Content exceeds expectationsBook exceeds my expectations. Author gives detailed directions. She has carefully included tips to avoid things that could go wrong. As a beginner at machine quilting with a walking foot, I am confident that I can proceed.
I started using this book the next day. Excellent directions, beautiful quilt designs and lots of hints make this a great addition to my quilting library. We likely be my go to book for machine quilting.
This book is well written in an easy to understand format, the instructions very clear. The photos show the details being discussed in the narrative. I am confident the info in this book will make me a better quilter! In addition to all this, the author has classes from this book on the internet! Very happy with this purchase.
If you can only get one book this year, this is the one to get. As with all things Leah does it is very detailed. The directions are through and the pictures are terrific. She does not just show you pretty pictures of quilts she made and leave you feeling like you could never do as well as her. She shows you each step how to create the quilts.Gives you tips to over come problems Plus she will have videos starting in January to go with the book. You will not regret purchasing this book.
