A must read for anyone with an inkling of curiosity of early human history - especially that depicted by popular religious beliefs and testaments. I am reading book four of the seven volumes written by the author. The detail fills in a lot of the historical blanks passed down over the centuries, some deliberately hidden by political and religious agendas. Go figure!
Another great book by Sitchin. This one focuses a bit more on the Myan culture, as apposed to the Sumerians or Egyptians. These books(The Earth Chronicles) are very informative and Sitchin really did his homework, along with travelling the world to back up what he wrote. He has since passed, but his work lives on. I highly recommend these if you're into 'Ancient Aliens'. On the lines of Erich Von Daniken's work. Both authors shared the same ideas-that mankind was genetically created by extraterrestrials thousands of years ago.
This book is awesome. It connects the relationship between the ancient inhabitants of the new world and the old world. It fills in where conventional science fails miserably at trying to explain. Great exciting read.
Every book in the Earth Chronicles series is a delight to read. You may not agree with all of Sitchin's theories regarding Nibiru and the Anunnaki, but his chronology of ancient history and global events is spot-on, and his understanding of Sumerian mythology and language is impeccable. Regardless of the personal conclusions you arrive at after reading his work, I can certainly guarantee that you will also come away with a much greater sense of possibility for our ancient past, and the realization that there is much, much more to our history than we've ever been led to believe. In my opinion, it is the great work of researchers like Zecharia Sitchin and others that will ultimately bridge the gap between evolution and creationism, and finally reveal to us the long-hidden truths about our celestial origins.
Sitchin picks up where he left off, this time adding ancient American mythology and archaeology into his thesis: that Earth was long ago visited by aliens from a tenth planet, that those aliens created Man as we know him, that they are the Gods of olden times. Drawing parallels between the mythologies of the Mayans, Aztecs, Inca, and the peoples of the ancient Middle East, he suggests that the Native Americans were of Cain's line (Tenochitlan = Enochitlan), that the earliest post-diluvial civilizations were established by the same beings that established all other original civilizations, and so on. It's a fun read.
After reading about eight of these books, it has become obvious that he was taking what he learned from the Sumerians and expounding on it. (12th Planet, Lost Book of Enki) Toward the end of his days it would appear that he was making his living out of writing and selling these books. As far as "The Lost Realms" book goes, he does raise some very interesting support for Erik Von Daniken one that I've always felt that Von Daniken was correct on.
This is Book IV in the series. The previous 3 primarily covered Sumeria and that geographical area. This book is the first to delve into Meso- America.As with the other volumes, this one ties Mexico, Central & South America into the theme which runs through all the books: the "gods" or entities from another planet, Marduk, came to Earth looking for gold to stabilize their planet's atmosphere, then genetically engineered Adam, the earthling, mated with human women, and the resulting semi-gods civilized the planet, imparting to humans the advanced knowledge of astronomy, etc.Sitchin's premise is backed by the Bible, mythology, written history, astronomy, and archeological findings. One of the most startling discoveries is that when the Meso-Americans wrote of a day when the sun did not rise in the sky - not an eclipse, but an entire day - he found documentation on the other side of the globe where the inhabitants wrote of a day when the sun filled the sky for 24 hours. It was even mentioned in the Bible. If that doesn't get your attention that there is something to this...No other series of books I've read ties everything together with the clarity that Sitchin does. You may not believe everything he writes, but it is hard to argue when it is supported by this much data.
Must read the Complete Series in order to understand the concept that covers 460,000 + years to present and at first you will think he is crazy but at some time you will question your belief system then by the conclusion you will know where you stand in your belief system and only Question is WHY? he does not answer that he leaves it to you and your belief system!!!
